Why join a Kofukan Karate club?
Traditional Karate
Kofukan clubs practice traditional Shito-ryu karate. Kofukan Karate Australia instructors have been trained and assessed by international Chief Instructor, Shihan Keiji Tomiyama (9th Dan).

Self Defence
Kofukan karate teaches effective and functional self defence for students of all ages. Self defence includes situational awareness, avoiding bullies, extracting yourself from non-consensual contact as well as self-preservation in the face of violence.

Confidence and Discipline
Karate builds confidence both inside and outside the dojo. Kofukan karate encourages students to overcome fears and embarrassment. Kofukan karate also requires students to be respectful and teaches self-control.

Fun and Fitness
Karate is fun! Instructors provide a range of classes to suit different age groups, with karate-based games for younger kids. Karate is great for building stamina, strength and flexibility.
