After a tough panel grading in Perth on Sunday 21 June, Jeevaprasath Ravikumar passed to Shodan black belt.

Jeeva started his karate journey in 2018 at the Byford dojo. His sensei, Corey Parker, was very pleased to tie the black belt around the waist of Jeeva who trained beside him for years before Corey got his black belt and became his instructor.

The Perth panel grading at the Kwinana dojo also passed the following kyu grades:

  • Julie Murphy (1st Kyu)
  • Makayla Donnelly (1st Kyu)
  • Mary McKay (1st Kyu)

Earlier in the week, a panel grading in Kalgoorlie passed the following kyu grades:

  • Cooper O’Neil (2nd Kyu)
  • Matthew O’Neil (2nd Kyu)

Back in March 2026, a further panel grading in Kalgoorlie also passed the following kyu grades:

  • Andrew Browner (1st Kyu)
  • Jared Aguilar (1st Kyu)
  • Levi Bennett (1st Kyu)
